Dear colleagues,
We would like to thank you for the trust you have placed in referring patients to our center in order to more adequately diagnose and treat oral and dental diseases. We are at your disposal for any additional questions and suggestions in accordance with your needs when diagnosing and planning treatment for each of your individual patients. It is our pleasure and honor if we can improve the common knowledge, and in order to adequately timely accurate evaluation of all necessary structures with the ultimate goal of improving oral health to the satisfaction of doctors and patients.
In addition to the traditional methods, we offer the possibility of electronically sending instructions for recording and sending recordings via e-mail.
Also, if you need, we offer the possibility of recording the patient outside working hours by appointment by calling the phone number 061 147 5303
3D CBCT
Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is based on a single 360 ° scan in which the X-ray source and the air detector on the other hand move synchronously around the patient’s head stabilized by the headrest.
Advantages of CBCT 3D imaging
- Significantly reduced radiation dose compared to standard appliances
- The volumetric data set contains a 3D block of smaller cube structures, known as voxels, each voxel representing a certain degree of X-ray absorption. The size of these voxels determines the resolution of the image. CBCT units provide voxel resolutions that are equal in all 3 dimensions. This produces a sub-millimeter resolution (often exceeding the highest level of multi-slice CT technology) ranging from 0.4 mm to at least 0.125 mm.
- Fast scan time: Because CBCT acquires all basic scans in one rotation, the scan time is fast (5–45 seconds) and comparable to the time of medical spiral MDCT technology
- Dose reduction: Effective radiation dose (mean range 36.9–50.3 microsivert [µSv]) is significantly reduced by up to 98% compared to “conventional” ventilator CT systems
- Reduced number of artifacts
- CBCT imaging provides correlated axial, coronal, and sagittal sections, and even oblique or curved sections, but more importantly, the images are in 3D in real time
- LOW RADIATION DOSES. Innovative low-dose technology ™ (LDT) KaVo OP 3D Pro enables optimized quality in 3D X-rays with a lower radiation dose. This is especially important when photographing children and pregnant women, reducing radiation to protect patients is a necessary added value.
- Four fields of view – more options. For each of the four fields, you can choose between three image resolutions.
